Turkey Day 2000

Thanksgiving is always a fun time around the Briggs' house. Traditionally the men make the dinner and the women watch parades and make crafts. This year was no exception but Ramana helped with the dinner this year. Tristin and Dad prepared the turkey through the day and when it came time to make the rest of the fixings Ramana jumped in and helped with the potato and carrots. The food was so good and Dad had a great time cooking with the kids. The evening was topped off in the usual Briggs Family fashion by viewing Dads favorite movie "A Christmas Story".
You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!

Smiling faces to start the festive day.

The men ready to capture the days meal bird.

The 12.3 pound bird was a worthy adversary. But the cunning and resourcefulness of the Briggs men snared the prize.

Tristin readies the vegetables that will flavor the bird.

In go the carefully cut colorful flavor boosters. (Does your mother know where your hand is?)

All bundled and ready for the oven.

First Check

Slurp it up, shoot it back!

Potato peeling time and Ramana is ready to lend a hand. The men were grateful for the help.

Ready Set Go....

Still need some more.

The pile is peeled.

Chop the carrots? The knife is as big as you are!

The Turkey Tristin made came out
OH SO GOOD!

Table Set and faces washed. We went for the casual eating this year to save our energies for fun later
